The Dyeing Process Each skein is individually hand-dyed in small batches using professional acid dyes, with speckles applied by hand for that characteristic depth and movement. Because every skein is dyed one at a time, there will be natural variation between skeins — this is the beauty of hand-dyed yarn, not a flaw. If purchasing multiple skeins for a larger project, we recommend alternating skeins as you work.
